Owners Tim and Sue Bourget, have been professional dancers and teaching for
over
ten years. In 1990, they opened Second Street Dance Studio in Highland,
Indiana.
Six years later they acquired the former library in Schererville,
installed a spacious,
cushioned oak floor, remodeled the building as a dance studio and
assembled a
dependable staff of dance professionals.
We are ready to help you achieve your dance goals
and can create programs to fit
your needs and abilities. We have many years
of competition and performance
experience and a love for the fun of social dancing.
On scheduled Saturdays we host
parties and
invite our students — both singles and
couples—to dance
the night away using the dance steps they learned during the week.
This social
and supportive environment encourages you
to dance with other students
and build your comfort level and confidence in social dancing.
Several times a year the studio holds a
Showcase
of student and staff dance routines at a local hall. We invite the
public
to watch, dine, and dance with us! In February, the studio sponsors the
Indiana Challenge
DanceSport Competition which
draws student and professional competitors from
all around the country.
